Yes, you can leave your mouse trap set up for an extended period of time as long as it is checked regularly for a catch and the bait is replenished when needed.
There are two ways to see if you've caught a mouse/mice in the bucket. One method would be to move or shake the bucket gently and listen for movement. The second method is to tilt the black plank down to check for mice in the bottom of the bucket.
Our mouse traps are effective against both mice and young rats; however, Young rats have a higher likelihood of jumping out and escaping. Adult rats will unfortunately not fall for any of traps.
